 Surry County
Surry County is part of the Yadkin Valley
Wine Region, and encompasses the towns of
Mount Airy, Dobson, and Elkin. Located near
the Blue Ridge Parkway, Surry County has
many friendly mountain/piedmont towns with
relaxed atmospheres.
Dobson, Mount Airy, Pilot Mountain, and Elkin
are all near or part of Surry County.
Statesville is relatively close as well.
Smaller areas like Boonville, Jonesville,
and State Road are close by, and Wilkesboro
is about an hour away.
 Since Surry County is part of the Yadkin
Valley wine area, there are many vineyards
and wineries that offer tours. Also the town
of Mayberry, modeled after Mount Airy, is a
highly visited attraction in Surry County.
Fans of the Andy Griffith show can check out
sights and places that were seen on the
show. Surry County is close to Pilot
Mountain State Park, Stone Mountain State
Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway for those
that love the outdoors.
